DESCRIPTION
The Cross Front Dress & Tunic is a fitted style pattern intended for knit fabrics. Includes a nursing friendly overlapping bodice with an underskirt. The skirt can be made fitted, with a “peekaboo” midriff, or flared. The fitted option comes in 3 hemmed lenghts: tunic, above knee-length dress, and maxi dress (with optional side slits) and includes a ruched maternity front option. The flared option comes in tunic or knee length dress length. There are options for hemmed short sleeves & long sleeves, cuffed long sleeves, a flutter sleeve or a bell sleeve (all sleeves are compatible with each view). Optional in-seam pockets add functionality. This dress can be sewn on a sewing machine or a serger, but does require a sewing machine and/or coverstitch machine for hemming, gathering (maternity option), and topstitching.

SIZING
The pattern comes in sizes 2-30 and in 3 different heights. Petite (5’’1- 5’3”), Regular (5’4”- 5’6”) and Tall (5’7”-5’9”). For the best fit, take current measurements and compare against the size chart. If in between sizes, size down.

FABRIC– You will need a 50% 4-way stretch knit. This means the fabric must stretch vertically as well as horizontally. Some fabric suppliers list the % of stretch in a fabric’s description, but it is easy to determine this yourself.
Hold 4” of your knit fabric against the start of a ruler. When you stretch it out, each inch past the initial 4” is 25% of stretch. For this pattern, you want at least 2” (50%) of additional stretch in both directions.
**This pattern is best suited for Cotton Lycra Brushed Polyester Spandex, and Rayon Spandex. If you do use a lightweight fabric, such as Rayon Spandex, I recommend adding clear elastic to the shoulders, bodice & skirt band seams to avoid stretching out over time.**

FILES– You will be able to download the printable sewing pattern and instructions you can then print at home on US letter 8.5×11” or A4 paper (you will not receive a physical copy of the pattern). This also includes a Projector file and an A0 Printshop file. You will need a PDF viewer (the free version of Adobe is recommended).
