DESCRIPTION: The Bella dress and tee is a Fit & Flare style pattern intended for knit fabrics. Includes a nursing option with a banded “princess seam” and pull down panel and non-nursing options as well! It comes in a hemmed top length, above-knee dress length or below-knee dress length. There are options for a gathered center skirt or a solid center skirt. Optional unique pockets add style lines and functionality. This dress can be sewn on a sewing machine or a serger, but does require a sewing machine or coverstitch machine if you wish to hem, gather, and topstitch. SIZING: The pattern comes in sizes 2-30. For the best fit, take current measurements and compare against the size chart. If in between sizes, you can size down for a better fit now or size up for room to grow. Includes 3 different height files. Petite for 5’1″ to 5’3″, Regular for 5’4″ to 5’6″, Tall for 5’7″ to 5’9″.
FABRIC: Requires approximately 1- 3 yards of a stretch knit with 50% vertical & horizontal stretch (Lighter weight Cotton Lycra, Brushed Polyester Spandex, Rayon Spandex, and Bamboo Spandex will work great).
FILES: You will be able to download the printable sewing pattern and instructions you can then print at home on US letter 8.5×11” or A4 paper (you will not receive a physical copy of the pattern). This also includes a Projector file and an A0 Printshop file. You will need a PDF viewer (the free version of Adobe is recommended).

This is super flattering, even on my lumpy mum tum! I feel incredibly self conscious about my mum tum but this dress makes me feel confident and pretty.
As with all ZLP’s, feeding access is easy and discreet which makes this perfect for day to day wear and it can definitely be dressed up too.
I made this when I’d only just given birth and still very much had a baby bump, the ungathered version fit fine with room around the belly, so don’t feel any adjustments would be needed for maternity. The gathered skirt has even more room, which is perfect for pregnancy and beyond.
Very easy to put together and a quick make. Really enjoyed this one.

Beautiful pattern, love the panel and side access for nursing. All I wanted for both my kids was a dress I could use while breastfeeding, but I could never find one until I started sewing and found these patterns. I also love that it’s a side access so it’s not like a huge billboard that your wearing a nursing dress. Such a smart design

This is such a great pattern – really lovely lines, TONS of options, and excellent directions. One of my favs, for sure… and those POCKETS!!
