DESCRIPTION
The Radiant Raglan is a sewing pattern intended for stable knit fabrics. Choose from a Fitted Version or Relaxed Version. Includes a standard Raglan Sleeve or a Ruched Shoulder Sleeve option with elastic in the center. Sleeves can be hemmed short or long, or be made long with a cuff. Bodice can be made Solid or Color Blocked in top, tunic or dress length. Fitted option has a curved hem detail that can also be finished with a hem facing. Relaxed has a straight hem. This pattern can be sewn on a sewing machine or a serger, but does require a sewing machine and/or coverstitch machine for attaching the elastic, hemming and topstitching. See video tutorial here.

SIZING
The pattern comes in sizes Newborn through 13 years. For the best fit, take current measurements and compare against the size chart. If in between sizes, size down for a better fit now, or size up for room to grow (see finished measurements to determine if grading between multiple sizes is required).

RECOMMENDED FABRICS
You will need a stable knit with at least 50% horizontal 50% vertical stretch for the main garment. The bands and cuff require at least 50% horizontal stretch. Some fabric suppliers list the % of stretch in a fabric’s description, but it is easy to determine this yourself.
Hold 4” of your knit fabric against the start of a ruler. When you stretch it out, each inch past the initial 4” is 25% of stretch. For this pattern, you want at least 1” (25%) of additional stretch vertically (parallel to the selvage) and about 1 5/8 ” horizontally.
**This pattern is best suited for Cotton Lycra, lighter Sweater Knits. DBP, Rib Knit, Waffle, or Rayon Spandex. **

FILES– You will be able to download the printable sewing pattern and instructions you can then print at home on US letter 8.5×11” or A4 paper (you will not receive a physical copy of the pattern). This also includes a Projector file and an A0 Printshop file. You will need a PDF viewer (the free version of Adobe is recommended).
